We were very proud to have you as students at St Laurence School, teaching you as you grew from new Year 7s to young adulthood.

We would like to continue to be a part of your journey and invite you to share your story with us by becoming a member of the newly launched St Laurence Alumni Community.

What does it involve?

Whatever you did when you left St Laurence, and whatever you do now, you have valuable knowledge and experience to share with our students, helping them to move into the post St Laurence phase of their lives. You can do this by attending our Careers Events and giving our students insights into:

• What your progression route was from school

• What do you do now and how did you get there?

• What worked well? What didn’t work so well?

• What do you wish you had done differently?

• What words of advice or wisdom do you wish you had been given? Or were given but chose not to follow?

• What advice would you give to students for getting the best out of their school years?

Time Commitment?

There is no “commitment” as such – we will ask for your help and hope that you are free to come along. If it’s not convenient at that time we will invite you to the next event.

Or perhaps you can:

1. write an inspirational article for the Careers page on our website

2. contribute to our Alumni page as it develops

3. offer work experience opportunities to students

In return

We want the Alumni to be all about you! We are in the early stages of re-launching it and welcome suggestions of anything you think should be included.

​

We are starting off by sending you our termly in-house magazine, Connect. This includes interviews with staff and students (past and present), academic and sporting achievements, fundraising news and lots more. With your help, we want to produce an Alumni newsletter and would love to put on a Reunion Event in 2023.
