MyChildAtSchool FAQ's

Frequently Asked Questions

What is MyChildAtSchool (MCAS)?

Data about all our students, staff and parent contacts is held securely on a school management information system called Bromcom. MCAS is an online portal that enables parents to view their child’s school information and performance in real time via any modern web browser (e.g. Edge, Firefox, Chrome, Safari etc.) and for today’s busy parents, an App (for Android or iOS)  which offers the same features.

Students also have their own ‘Student Portal’ to access attendance, behaviour, homework and more. Please see the Student Links page for more information.

Why are we using MCAS?

We are moving away from multiple online systems to a ‘one stop shop’, this will make information sharing and communication much simpler for all.  We implemented the new Bromcom system in April 2024.  As you can expect with such a significant amount of data being transferred for staff, students, and parents this must be managed carefully and in a staged way.  Therefore, we are releasing functionality of Bromcom in manageable steps.

What can I see?

Anytime, live access to announcements, attendance, behaviour, parental consent, student reports, timetables, homework, clubs’ and exam timetables. With the potential for more to follow in the future.

Is it easy to use?

Yes, there is a very user-friendly dashboard with all your child’s information on it.  Click on the ‘More’ button in each area to expand to more detail.

How do I access MCAS?

If you have never logged in to MCAS, please click here for instructions on how to set up your account.

If you have previously logged in but are now unable to access your account, please click here for instructions on how to reset your password.

What if I have more than one child at the school?

Once logged in, information on your other children in the school can be accessed from ‘Change Student’ and the small white arrow.
